The Common Cam website (commoncam.org) allows users to "check-in" their camera to not only let us know where they are in the world but also share a personal story. Visitors can see where people are taking the cameras as well as track the journey of an individual cam based on who has checked in.
With the pictures that return, we will match up the photos with the information inputted on the website and present the narrative of that specific Common Cam.
The site was built on a Drupal Content Management System (with the camera tracking system via the Google Maps API). This website was a collaboration with the talented Luke Elmers.
